Getting Started Guide
Everything you need to go from application to a live public profile — with your dials in front of collectors who care about craftsmanship.

Submit Your Application
Head to the Artisan Portal and click "Apply to Become an Artisan." Fill out your name, email, a short bio about your background, and an optional link to your portfolio or social media. This helps us understand your style and experience.
Tips
Be specific about your design specialty — muscle cars, aviation, military, enamel, etc.
A portfolio link (Instagram, website, Etsy) greatly speeds up approval.
You'll receive an email confirmation immediately after submitting.

Wait for Approval
Our team reviews every application personally. We look for original design sensibility, quality craftsmanship, and a passion for horology. Once approved, you'll receive a welcome email with your login credentials.
Tips
Approval emails come from [email protected] — check your spam folder.
If you haven't heard back in 3 business days, email us directly.
Your credentials are unique to you — keep them safe.

Log In & Set Up Your Profile
Use the credentials from your welcome email to log in at the Artisan Portal. Head straight to the "My Profile" tab to upload a photo, write your bio, add your location, specialty, and website link. This is your public face on the Artisans directory.
Tips
A square profile photo (at least 400×400px) looks best.
Your bio is the first thing collectors read — make it personal and specific.
Your specialty and location appear on your directory card, so fill them in.

Upload Your First Dial
Click "Upload Dial" to add your first listing. Choose a category, give it a name, write a description, set a price (or choose from our preset tiers), and upload a high-quality photo. Your listing goes live on the site immediately after upload.
Tips
Use a clean, well-lit photo on a neutral background — this is what collectors see first.
JPEG or PNG, at least 800×800px. The site auto-converts PNGs to JPEG for speed.
You can upload up to 10 images per dial — use the extra slots for detail shots.
Free artisans can list up to 3 dials. Contact us to discuss expanded listings.

Write an Article (Optional)
The "My Articles" tab lets you publish stories, build logs, design inspiration pieces, or anything watch-related. Articles are reviewed by our team before going live. You can attach a cover image, author photo, extra images, and up to 2 short video clips.
Tips
Articles that tell a story — the inspiration behind a design, a build process — perform best.
Use the summary field for a compelling one-liner that appears in previews.
Videos should be short clips (under 2 minutes) — process shots, detail reveals, etc.
Articles pending review show a "Pending" badge in your My Articles tab.

View Your Public Profile
Once you have at least one approved article, your profile appears in the public Artisans directory at artisandials.com/artisans. Collectors can browse your dials, read your articles, and follow your work. Share your profile link on social media to drive traffic.
Tips
Your profile URL is artisandials.com/artisans/[your-id] — bookmark it and share it.
Keep your profile photo and bio updated as your work evolves.
Engage with collectors by responding to inquiries through the contact page.
